Jane: it was a pleasure to speak with you last week at Colt’s graduation party. I have bookmarked your site and enjoy it.
Thought I would share a favorite recipe of mine using home grown herbs….
This is one of my favorites: Grilled sweet corn with a flavor twist…
1. Take your husked sweet corn and place on a sheet of alum. foil then drizzle olive oil over the corn and rub lightly to oil the entire ear.
2. Grind black pepper over the corn. (Optional some times I grind a very small amount of garlic sea salt in addition to the black pepper….very little.)
3. Take fresh Cilantro leaves and place on and around the ear, be generous with Cilantro.
4. Wrap the foil around the ear and place on grill turning regularly to prevent burn marks.
5. Unwrap and enjoy…no butter required! you will find the corn moist and extremely flavorful with a taste of cilantro.
I grow my own cilantro all year around in my window so fresh cilantro is always available. Eliminating the butter makes corn on the cob a better choice for our bodies.
Enjoy!
