I was contacted by a very generous company and asked if they could send me some of their products as a gift. Who could turn down that offer? Dei Fratelli is a fourth generational company of vine-ripened goodness. I have frequently used their pizza sauce which our family loves. Keep posted to Sweet Basil Kitchen for some yummy recipes as I try these products! This is a quote from their web-site…
As a fourth generation, family-owned company, our brands thrive on family traditions – just like yours. We take a great deal of pride in knowing that our products are made of the finest ingredients possible and that our tomato products are grown from seedlings that we cultivate ourselves. When the Dei Fratelli family puts a product on our grocers’ shelves for your family, we do so knowing that we’ve taken the same amount of care and attention to quality that we would if we were placing it on our own family’s table.
We were in Arizona when this huge package was delivered to our place, so our daughter-in-law who picked up our mail got the privilege of opening this box of goodies!
I gave her the green light to try any of the products she wanted. This is what she did…
She browned a pound of ground turkey.
Then she added a can of Dei Fratelli Sloppy Joe sauce.
Simmer for about 10 minutes…
For the kiddies she spooned the meat mixture into a thin whole wheat bun and topped it with finely shredded cheddar cheese.
For the her and Brad, she roasted a spaghetti squash and spooned the meat mixture over a bed of spinach in the squash. She topped it with some crushed corn chips and cheddar cheese. Click here for instructions on how to prepare spaghetti squash.
They all gave a “thumbs up” for this product! Thank-you Megan and thank-you Dei Fratelli!

I love the sound and looks of the spaghetti squash boats. It’s a must try for me!
