Oven Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Sweet potato fries are now appearing on more and more restaurant menus. However, the majority of them are deep fat fried, which negates much of the nutritional value. These are so simple to make at home and by tossing them with a few simple ingredients, you can indulge freely with NO guilt!

Today’s recipe is out of The Real Food Diet Cookbook by Dr. Josh Axe. You are invited to be the lucky recipient of my first giveaway. Click here to read about this cookbook and simple directions how you can enter to win!

Oven Baked Sweet Potato Fries

2-3 large sweet potatoes
3 T. olive oil (the recipe actually calls for grapeseed or coconut oil, but I didn’t have any)
1 t. sea salt
1/2 t. paprika
1/4 t. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 425. Peel potatoes and cut into strips about 1/2” wide. Place all ingredients in a plastic bag and shake until potatoes are completely coated. Spread onto a baking sheet in a single layer. Cook for 30 minutes, turning every 10 minutes. Transfer immediately to a paper towel lined plate and serve warm.
