This little hot spot in Arcadia is a favorite place for us to grab some lunch. It was recommended by a friend years ago and we have never been disappointed. Be forewarned though, this place is loud and hectic and it took us a couple visits to get our bearings on how and where to order. Parking is a nightmare, although they do offer valet parking in the back. There are a dozen or so outdoor tables, which we try to grab one. We are huge fans of eating outside when and if weather permitting. They also offer seating inside. The place can get crowded and a bit chaotic, but it all adds to a charming community setting!
La Grande Orange is a gourmet boutique grocery and cafe with a casual, family friendly pizzeria attached to it . The cafe is the sweet spot to relax with cup of coffee and newspaper in hand over a gourmet breakfast. We have only eaten lunch here, so I can’t report on their breakfast food.
I am a sorry creature of habit and always order the same tuna sandwich. This is not your mothers tuna salad…this is served on toasted multi-grain bread, with fresh greens, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers, but the kicker is thinly sliced apples! They add that surprise crunch and sweetness.
Ron ordered the famous green-chili burger on homemade English Muffin. Their English Muffin’s are made by hand with organic ingredients and griddled fresh daily. As you can see this dish is served with way too many fries for one person to eat, so I kindly offered to help eat them.
Iced tea is our staple here in AZ. It is common to serve a tropical flavored iced tea with lots of ice and as many refills as you can handle!
Although this place is crowded and chaotic, they have the coolest grocery store and gift shop. There are usually too many people milling around to be able to browse and check out their goods. Someday maybe…

DEEEElish! This looks like a fabulous place to be a “sorry creature of habit.” There’s nothing like fresh, homemade meals that you don’t have to make yourself. Love the photos!
